These two images on this post are my parodies of famouse art peices. They both relate to the theme/genre of my magazine, music. and have given me not only practace in photoshop but have also gave me ideas for my final design and I have had fun making them too.
This first Parodie is of the classic and well known painting called american gothic by Grant Wood, which i have mashed together with the funny rock star duo of Tenacious D. i have added to the american gothic photo both heads of the band members to the farmer and wifes heads, and as a replacement for a pitchfork i have used a flaming guitar, that also links in with my music magazine theme.
The second parodie is of the world wide famous painting of The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci, playing the drums! I made this by introducing drums, symbols, drum-sticks and a sticking out tounge.
